Top Gun
Top Gun is a one of the world`s most successful jumping horses competed originally by British rider Nick Skelton and then by Dutch rider Jan Tops , together with Jan Tops the pair had numerous wins and become one of the worlds leading horse and rider combinations successes include being part of the Netherlands gold medal winning team at the Barcelona Olympics.
Top Gun has an impressive pedigree sired by the stallion Grannus out of a Winnetou mare. Grannus is the sire of many other international showjumpers including Grannusch who was competed by John Whitaker, Grand Slam ridden by Nick Skelton and Grand Plaisir jumped by Ludger Beerbaum.
In 2010 Top Gun was cloned and the clone would be approved by the Anglo European Studbook.
Top Gun was bred at Paul Schockemohle and is sired by the great stallion Grannus. Grannus was ranked 1st in the WBFSH list of showjumping sires in 1995/6 and 4th in the whole period 1991/2000.
