DIDDY IS CHAMPION COLOURED HORSE AT ROYAL WINDSOR
Diddy, shown by close friend Val Sheehan, won his youngstock class at The Royal Windsor Horse Show then pulled out all the stops in the Championship to win it. It was truly momentous and like a dream. It was an incredibly brave decision from the judges to make a `hairy` champion - that takes some guts in the coloured world. There are some seriously lovely horses around and he was in top company. Thank you Val for showing him to perfection - yet again. He is without doubt, a very very special horse.
Dixie was 3rd in the same class as Diddy at only her second show. She was completely chilled and didn`t bad an eyelid at anything. We were thrilled with her result as well - some going for a baby girl!
Maggie and Imogen completed their 4th show with a 4th in their class too at Royal Windsor. A superb achievement for them both in a big atmosphere. They looked a picture and thoroughly enjoyed their moment.
Tragedy...
Lily gave birth unbeknown to us (as she was 3.4 weeks early) to beautiful coloured colt. The colt was born in the field, and slipped under a fence, couldn`t get to his mother, then went through two more fences and a hedgerow, ending up in our neighbours field. Sadly, we found him just dead. We had no idea Lily had even had a foal that morning, as she was very calm. We have decided to give Lily a break from foals - she will be backed when she recovers. Maggie is 3rd at her first HOYS qualifier
Maggie and Imogen stepped up a gear on their third ever show together to gain a very creditable 3rd place in a very very strong HOYS qualifying class.
