Senators Rhondaigo - Bred For Dressage, Born To Jump
Senators Rhondaigo is an eight year old Oldenburger, who is proving himself to be one of bigest jumpers on the international show jumping scene, in 2021 Senators Rhondaigo won the puissance at the Horse Of The Year Show, jumping clear over 7`2` with British rider Joseph Trunkfield (which you can watch below)
Senators Rhondaigo was bred by Emilia Hewer from her mare Wanona to the stallion Keystone Rhondeo, the aim to produce her next dressage super star but Senators Rhondaigo just wanted to jump. Wanona also had another foal sired by Keystone Rhondeo who has just won the nationals at advanced medium finals in Ireland.
As a young horse Senators Rhondaigo was sent to showjumping rider Tom Monaghan to give a little bit of education, Tom was in touch with Emilia within the week telling her Senators Rhondaigo was no dressage horse and he just wanted to jump, so he was sold to Alex Somerville-Cotton.
