Royne Zetterman
Born the 7th December 1957 Royne Zetterman is an international showjumper representing Sweden at many major championships. Royne began riding at an early age winning classes on ponies as a kid. Successes in the showjumping ring includes winning the 1987 Luxembourg grand prix, 2006 Stockholm grand prix and the 2008 Falsterbo grand prix. In 2002 he was a member of the Swedish team who won a silver medal at the world championships in Jerez de la Frontera in Spain.
He currently conducts their own business with the breeding, training and sales of jumping horses on his farm Springfield Farm in Linderödsĺsen , which he manages with his sons.
Royne Zetterman began to ride and compete in jumping pretty early. Already in the early 1970s, he had great success as a junior on his pony Red Fox. Besides ridandet he competed in archery and also won a club championship, but Zetterman wagered once on only horses.
During the late 1980s and early 1990s competed Royne Zetterman successfully including the first investments in the Grand Prix of Luxembourg 1987, Stockholm 2006 and Falsterbo 2008th 1994, he participated in his first World Cup with the stallion Irco Mena. He has also participated in several World Cups, and was among other number one in the World Cup Qualifiers in 2007 s`Hertegenbosch, Holland .
Zetterman has competed successfully with the Swedish national team since the 1990s, but the greatest achievement was law-silver in the World Championships 2002 in Jerez de la Frontera in Spain . He also placed individually in fifth place in the World Championships in Mannheim in 2007. Zetterman SM has also won four times, including three times in a row in 1996, 1997 and 1998, which he did along with his mare Vera.
Royne Zetterman carries today even now Springfield Showjumpers AB with breeding, training and sales of top-class jumping horses on his farm Springfield Farm in Linderödsĺsen , which he manages and operates with his sons. In World Cup 2006, all three horses reared on Zetterman farm. The farm was started back in the mid-1980s when he moved in with his wife Aisling Zetterman, a competition surface drain from Ireland . Together they have two sons, Daniel, born in 1985, and Alexander, born in 1990, who also competes in show jumping and helping to run the company.
