Richard Meade
Born 4th December 1936 Richard Meade is a British Olympian who won 3 gold medals individual and team gold in 1972 Olympics in Munich and team gold in 1968 in Mexico City. Below you can watch some Richard Meade highlights from the Munich Olympics.
Career Highlights of Richard Meade includes winning the 1964 Burghley Horse Trials (Barberry) the Badminton Horse Trials, in 1970 (The Poacher) and in 1982 (Speculator III)

Upon his retirement from the competition arena he served in the British Horse Society`s Council he also became the President of the British Equestrian Federation and became a member of the FEI committee. He also became an FEI Judge and course designer and was an official at events all over the world.
Richard Meade and Princess Anne Richard Meade was close friends with Princess Anne and became a nationally known figure, Richard passed away in 2015 after a battle against cancer at the age of 76, and he received many tributes from the equestrian community.
