A horse breed from Qataghan province in Afghanistan the Qatgani horse is one of twelve horse breeds that originate from Afghanistan. The Qatgani horse
is a modern war horse used by the Uzbek mounted raiders of the warlord Abdul Rashid Dostum who fought against the Taliban in the Darya Suf valley of north-east Afghanistan during the 2001 fighting in Afghanistan.
