Polydor is a stallion who made a huge impact on sport horse breeding, Polydor is by the stallion Pilatus who produced two outstanding stallions who are among the most successful stallions of all time, one is Pilot while the other is Polydor who is out of a daughter of Fruhlicht I. Polydor would be an important stallion for the Westfalien state stud, he was approved in 1974 and would stand at stud until his death in 1999.

Polydor is the father of many impressive sport horse`s his progeny include`s Portor competed by Thomas Fruhmann, another successful horse by Polydor is Panima who was competed by Otto Becker, finishing 5th individually at the world equestrian fames and winning a silver medal in the team competition. In the UK Michael Whitaker competed another Polydor offspring the talented Two Steps who was the 94/95 WBFSH horse of the year.

Polydor - The history of Polydor goes back to the late 50`s when the then director of the Westfalien state stud, Dr Gerd Lehmann imported four Irish Thoroughbreds: Sinus, Papayer and Pluchino. Pluchino was an Ascot Stakes winner in the UK.

Sire Polydor produced many outstanding offspring, his first international showjumper was Porter a horse competed by Thomas Fruhmann at many major championships. In 1987 Porter and Thomas Fruhmann would compete in the European Championships and finish in fourth place individually. Soon after the European championships Porter would be sold to Markus Mandi who would continue to compete him successfully

Pamina is one of the most successful offspring of Polydor, together with Otto Becker, Pamina finished 5th in the individual and won a team silver medal at the Stockholm wt the world equestrian games.
