Paul Sims

Paul has already achieved excellent performances and results. He has produced horses onto the Equine Pathway and up to 3* level. Despite being a talented show jumper – jumping successfully up to Grand Prix level and also representing England – Paul moved to Eventing five years ago. And has since been bitten by the Eventing bug.

Paul is originally from Darlington in North Yorkshire and first sat on a horse at the tender age of two on a family holiday. He was immediately hooked and had to be taken back to the trekking centre every day of the holiday!

Paul’s mother runs a riding school and Paul also spent some of the best days of his life out hunting with his father who also team chased.

Paul says: "I am very lucky to have great owners that support me and my partner; Hannah Bate and we look forward to the future with great optimism."

Friday varied program in the IJsselhallen 27/2/2004
Today the International Stallion Show in Zwolle again offers a very varied program. The stallion approval of the Anglo European Studbook has now started in the main arena. At around half past three the scoop of the Havikerwaard Descendants Championship takes place, in which descendants of, among others, Oklund, Celano, No Limit, Emilion and many other top stallions will compete in the ring. Tonight the finals will be held for the titles BMC Promising Stallion and Stad Zwolle Best Stallion for the Celano Trophy. In between the finals, the hoof trampling will give way to engine hum when the final of the Harley Davidson Ride and Bike Challenge takes place. A number of teams consisting of a rider on horseback and a motorcyclist will start in the IJsselhallen for this spectacular race.
