Seven-year-old Aldatus son Ovidius won the final tonight under Olympic champion Jeroen Dubbeldam for the title BMC Promising Stallion. The seven-year-old brown was just ahead of Harrie Smolders with Omar (Darco) in a lightning-fast jump-off, which also put the combination in second place in the title fight. Wout Jan van der Schans saw his chances of the title victory pass his nose when VDL Arkansas already hit the wood in the first round. The seven-year-old Acobat II son finished third in the title fight.
