Mermus R was awarded the Keur predicate for his outstanding contribution to breeding by the KWPN, alongside other stallions such as Numero Uno, Heartbreaker, Berlin, Van Gogh, Verdi and several others. He was used to promote their studbook at the annual stallion show in the Netherlands. A true successor of his world famous father, Burggraaf. Mermus R was a successful performer in his own right, completing an outstanding talent test in his inspection with good basic paces. This included an impressive canter (8.5) and for take-off, technique and power, he scored 8.5, 8 and 9. Mermus R originates from one of the best dam lines available. Bred in Holland by Stal Roelofs, Mermus R is the culmination of more than 30 years of selective breeding. His dam, Dwermie, is by the �stallion of the century� Ramiro Z who has sired winners at Olympic level. Dwermie is also the mother of the KWPN-approved stallions Wender R.

Vincent B - Mermus R is a son of Burggraaf (Landgraf I) out of the famous Dermie lineage of Stal Roelofs. Vincent B is, like the licensed stallion Rasputin (Ramiro Z) and the national showjumper Atlantiko Z (Atlantus Z), bred out of the Beaujolais daughter Hannelies. Via progenitors Nimmerdor, Landgraf I and Farnese this line goes backt to the full sister of the stallions Navarra I and II (Nautilus xx) from Holstein lineage 2151. The international showjumping horse Optiebeurs Richard (Ricardo) under Otto Becker is also from this family.
