Matador
Matador is an international dressage horse sired by May Sharif, competed by Kyra Kyrklund in the 1991 world cup final, that you can watch there dressage test below. As well as winning numerous grand prix`s and championships Kyra & Matador also represented Finland at the 1988 Seol Olympics, together the pair finished 5th in the individual competition, and the silver medal at the 1990 WEG.
Matador was later sold to Japanese dressage rider Yoshinaga Sakurai who would ride this talented dressage stallion up to his retirement from the competition arena, in this time Yoshinaga would take Matador to another Olympic games in Japan.
Upon his retirement Matador would stand at Stud in Germany at Bockmann Stud attracting some of the finest dressage mares from leading breeders.

Dam Meba, same as the famous dressage stallions Jacardo and Jeraldo, is a product of Elcaro. Like the famous Grand Prix dressage horse De Count de Courtville (Ramiro Z) also Meba is out of the `keur preferent prestatie` awarded mare Sheba (Lector). The dam`s line continues with the `prestatie` awarded mare Farona (Bastiaan) and behind her is a Gelders family. This family also produced the national dressage horse Eduard and the international showjumping stallion Eratosthenes Z.
