Bulgarian Horse Vacations - Bulgaria is a country located in South eastern Europe. It is bordered by Romania to the north, Serbia and Macedonia to the west, Greece and Turkey to the south and the Black Sea to the east. Bulgaria is Europe`s 14th-largest country. Its location has made it a historical crossroad for various civilizations and as such it is the home of some of the earliest metalworking, religious and other cultural artefacts in the world. Bulgaria has a temperate climate with cold winters and hot summers (rainy at first and dry during the second half). The Black Sea coast has a milder climate than the rest of the country, but strong winds and violent local storms occur frequently during the winter. Northern Bulgaria experiences colder temperatures and receives more rain than the southern lowlands.
