Jamie Wingrove
J W Equestrian is a professional and friendly business headed by talented young show jumper Jamie Wingrove. At JW equestrian, we source, produce and compete top quality show jumping horses on behalf of ourselves and owners. Since his early days on ponies, Jamie Wingrove has rightfully earned a reputation for being one of our most naturally talented young horsemen. He is totally dedicated to his chosen vocation and is passionate about the art of producing sport horses. Jamie has set up JW equestrian with the aim of developing a string of talented and correctly produced horses that he hopes to be able to take to the very top of the sport.
Jamie has a very real desire to excel within the sport and has spent time learning his craft from such respected horse people as Ted and Liz Edgar and Tim Stockdale.
From his base in Warwickshire, Jamie is producing a string of talented young horses, aiming at top national and international competition.
Jamie has enjoyed a prolific career on ponies under the patronage of his mother Fiona Wingrove - proprietor of Fox Farm Equestrian. Jamie rode ponies for many owners as well as his mother and enjoyed many successes at prestigious shows such as The Royal International at Hickstead, Horse of the year show, Cavan home pony International and the Scope Festival of Showjumping, to name but a few. As a schoolboy Jamie performed the role of in- house jockey for his mother`s successful dealing yard. The opportunity to ride a large variety of horses and ponies ensured he developed a reputation as a highly natural rider who was able to coax the best performances out of even the least straightforward horses. His natural talent was spotted by show jumping stalwart Liz Edgar who offered him the ride on a few of her horses.
At the end of 2008, Jamie was noticed by Olympic show jumper Tim Stockdale. Tim offered Jamie the job as his stable jockey. With Tim`s daily help and training Jamie further improved in ability and polished his technique. He welcomed the opportunity to work and train with such a successful rider and enjoyed a thorough education in how to produce international show jumpers. Alongside his commitments to team Stockdale, Jamie continued to produce and compete horses for both himself and for top level owners, including Liz Edgar and international show jumper Geoff Luckett. After two years with Tim, Jamie returned home full time to concentrate fully on his own horses and those of his owners.
2011 has seen Jamie secure several excellent results. These include being placed second in the national 7 year old qualifier at wales and west in June, qualifying Fiona Hedges`s very talented Zilfa Heleen for the national 7 year old championships at Horse of the Year Show. Jamie then went on to win the newcomers regional at Wales and West in July, qualifying Zilfa Heleen for her second HOYS championship. This successful partnership was cemented at The Royal International Horse Show where Jamie won the Winter Novice final in Hickstead`s main arena. Other successes have included qualifying Tim and Laura Stockdale`s The Toymaker for the 6 yo championships at HOYS and being placed fourth at the national 4 year old championship at scope with Wrestow Stud`s Wrestow Cladonia. This super young horse now stands National Best British Bred 4 yo, having been produced by Jamie from the beginning of her ridden career. Working alongside his loyal and supportive owners 2011 has been a year for Jamie to really make his mark and we hope all the hardwork and dedication will be reflected by the performances of Jamies horses at this years HOYS and beyond.

Kirsty is involved with the young horses training and competes on her own horses. Kirsty is a qualified BHSAI, ensuring a sound knowledge in equine care.
