What you need before transporting your horse
A Coggins test for Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA)
Coggins tests are regulated by the state. They are valid for 6-12 months.
A Health Certificate
From your Veterinarian, not more than 10 days old.
A Brand Inspection and Certification
Some states require a brand inspection that is done and certified by a state inspector. This can take time, so contact the inspector early.

Have your horse ready
Having your horse ready when we arrive will help us stay on schedule. This includes all the required documentation.
Both of our drivers are fully qualified, caring and responsible individuals. They are constantly improving their methods of work and whose skills are verified by the corresponding certificates. The truck, a scania 360 is fully verified by the european ministry and licensed to carry 9 horses. It is very well ventilated with 10 windows down each side and is fitted with 4 fans for warmer weather controlled by the driver. The lorry is built on air so the ramp lowers right down for ease of loading, there is also a spotlight on the ramp for use in the dark. There is a CCTV system fitted so the driver can check the horses whilst on the road. A 200 litre water tank is fitted on the outside so your horse will have access to fresh water at rest points.

OUR RIGS consist of 8 2011 and 2012 Ford 4×4 dually’s. We pull 1 10 Horse Head to Head, 2 8 horse slants, 2 7 horse slants 2 6 horse slants, 1 4 horse slant and a 2 horse slant load trailers.
We keep all of our equipment well maintained and up to date.
ON THE ROAD
* We stop every 3-4 hours to check the horses, refill hay and water, plus allow them to rest.
* We keep coastal/grass hay and alfalfa hay on the trailer and request that any other special hay be sent with the horse.
* We monitor water intake of each horse to insure they are staying well hydrated.
* We keep electrolytes paste available at all times and administer them when need be.
* Layovers available when necessary at safe equine facilities.
* Drop down feed doors for easy access.
* In the process of installing camera/monitoring systems.
* All trailers well bedded with shavings and horse mats.
* Box stalls available.
We cover the United States from East Coast to West Coast and North To South. We are in Arizona, Nevada and California weekly. The rest of the loads are booked according to demand so feel free to request a quote to anywhere in the U.S. If we can build a load to meet your needs we will. Our goal it to have the most direct route possible with the least amount of drops and pick ups. This might call for picking your horse up a day in advance and boarding them at our equine facilities (at no additional cost to you). So when we are scheduled to pull out we are able to load and go. This allows for a more direct route with the least amount of zig zagging across the U.S.

Water and Feed
Depending on how long your journey is this will vary, but making sure your horse is well watered and well fed on the journey will make sure they stay healthy throughout and also will help minimize any irritation they may be feeling while on the road.
If your horse is hungry or thirsty, there`s a greater chance they`ll become grumpy and start moving around and doing things in the trailer that aren`t necessarily safe.
Use Bedding in the Trailer
Using bedding in the trailer is important to decrease the stress on your horse`s joints during travel. Depending on what bedding you use, some may not be conducive to travel because of the dust that will fly around.
In this case you could consider using different bedding like draw, or alternatively get your horse a fly mask to wear in the trailer.
Take Rests Every Few Hours
Not only will your horse be calmer if they can get out and stretch and move around every few hours, but it will also give them a chance to get out of a small and enclosed space. If they`re in there for too long they could start to throw their body around to get out and that`s the last thing you want because it could impair your safety and theirs.
These stops are also necessary to give your horse a rest from the exhausting need of balancing while in the trailer on their legs.
Shipping Boots and Leg Protection
When traveling you should make sure your horse has shipping boots applied (and properly) and wraps to protect your horse`s legs. These wraps can help provide support and to prevent them from swelling up when they`re in the trailer. Then when you take breaks you can take them off and let your horse`s legs air out before getting back in the trailer.
Make Sure The Trailer Is The Right Size
A large horse in a tiny trailer is going to be really uncomfortable and it also could strain muscles in your horse`s body by not allowing them to stretch out and be comfortable. Making sure your trailer is an appropriate size will keep your horse healthy and ensure they have a comfortable journey.
Taking trips with your horse can be a lot of fun and has the potential to go wrong, but with some smart planning you and your horse will have a safe and uneventful journey.

It`s a brilliant way of getting the use of a fantastic new lorry without the upfront cost of purchase. They are constantly improving their methods of work and whose skills are verified by the corresponding certificates. The truck, a scania 360 is fully verified by the european ministry and licensed to carry 9 horses. It is very well ventilated with 10 windows down each side and is fitted with 4 fans for warmer weather controlled by the driver. The lorry is built on air so the ramp lowers right down for ease of loading, there is also a spotlight on the ramp for use in the dark. There is a CCTV system fitted so the driver can check the horses whilst on the road. A 200 litre water tank is fitted on the outside so your horse will have access to fresh water at rest points.

OUR RIGS consist of 8 2011 and 2012 Ford 4×4 dually’s. We pull 1 10 Horse Head to Head, 2 8 horse slants, 2 7 horse slants 2 6 horse slants, 1 4 horse slant and a 2 horse slant load trailers.
We keep all of our equipment well maintained and up to date.
ON THE ROAD
* We stop every 3-4 hours to check the horses, refill hay and water, plus allow them to rest.
* We keep coastal/grass hay and alfalfa hay on the trailer and request that any other special hay be sent with the horse.
* We monitor water intake of each horse to insure they are staying well hydrated.
* We keep electrolytes paste available at all times and administer them when need be.
* Layovers available when necessary at safe equine facilities.
* Drop down feed doors for easy access.
* In the process of installing camera/monitoring systems.
* All trailers well bedded with shavings and horse mats.
* Box stalls available.
We cover the United States from East Coast to West Coast and North To South. We are in Arizona, Nevada and California weekly. Our goal it to have the most direct route possible with the least amount of drops and pick ups. This might call for picking your horse up a day in advance and boarding them at our equine facilities (at no additional cost to you). So when we are scheduled to pull out we are able to load and go. Tips on Transporting your Horse Safely
When it comes to transporting your horse there are many things that could go wrong. At the end of the day, your horse has a mind of their own and if you don`t take extra precautions you may find yourself with disaster on your hands. Transporting horses is perfectly safe, but there are a few things you should make sure you`re doing to ensure your horse`s safety, but also your own.Water and Feed
Depending on how long your journey is this will vary, but making sure your horse is well watered and well fed on the journey will make sure they stay healthy throughout and also will help minimize any irritation they may be feeling while on the road.
If your horse is hungry or thirsty, there`s a greater chance they`ll become grumpy and start moving around and doing things in the trailer that aren`t necessarily safe.
Use Bedding in the Trailer
Using bedding in the trailer is important to decrease the stress on your horse`s joints during travel. Depending on what bedding you use, some may not be conducive to travel because of the dust that will fly around.
In this case you could consider using different bedding like draw, or alternatively get your horse a fly mask to wear in the trailer.
Not only will your horse be calmer if they can get out and stretch and move around every few hours, but it will also give them a chance to get out of a small and enclosed space. If they`re in there for too long they could start to throw their body around to get out and that`s the last thing you want because it could impair your safety and theirs.
These stops are also necessary to give your horse a rest from the exhausting need of balancing while in the trailer on their legs.
Shipping Boots and Leg Protection
When traveling you should make sure your horse has shipping boots applied (and properly) and wraps to protect your horse`s legs. These wraps can help provide support and to prevent them from swelling up when they`re in the trailer. Then when you take breaks you can take them off and let your horse`s legs air out before getting back in the trailer.
A large horse in a tiny trailer is going to be really uncomfortable and it also could strain muscles in your horse`s body by not allowing them to stretch out and be comfortable. Making sure your trailer is an appropriate size will keep your horse healthy and ensure they have a comfortable journey.
Taking trips with your horse can be a lot of fun and has the potential to go wrong, but with some smart planning you and your horse will have a safe and uneventful journey.

Sharing A Horsebox
Why share lifts?With the ever increasing cost of fuel, it makes sense to keep in touch with local people to find out if you can share a lorry with someone going to the same destination. Please note the owner should drive the lorry and only accept a contribution towards fuel with no intention to make a profit, to avoid operator licence implications. You cannot offer your lorry for self-drive hire through this scheme or drive other peoples horses for profit as this may invalidate your insurance.

If you wish to operate a regular self-drive hire share scheme, you can register for this service here. Under this scheme we can add your lorry to our self drive hire policy for £25 per day to ensure both lorry and sharer are appropriately covered under a self-drive hire policy.
