Blogs are already in huge abundance across the net today, there are literally billions of blogs and tens of thousands being newly created everyday.

Pinging is yet another tool used to alert RSS feed reader websites that you have new content, in turn the Search Engines will read these feed reader websites as pointers to what is fresh on the net, when i say fresh i mean the robots the search engines use will be revisiting these websites on a constant basis.

So in a nutshell here is what you need to do to get your website noticed in 3 easy steps.

1. If you have not done so already, submit your website to a few search engines and here is a list of links to get you started. Google, MSN, Yahoo!

2. The Social Networking List, take your time over these, maybe revisit this page a few times before you complete the list, register to as many as you can, they are all free and they will provide the links back to your website that you need.

3. Now comes the easy part. Every time you add new content to your website or blog you need to let the RSS readers and aggregators know about it, we do this through the free pinging services.
