Hamlets Creek is a premier agistment property at manageable prices and has been designed with everything a horse and owner requires in mind. Located in the lush Mandalong Valley adjacent to Jilliby and only 1 hour north of Sydney.
The property is at the base of the Watagan Mountains where there are literally days of trails and lookouts to enjoy. There is simply plenty to see and do here.

Hamlets Creek is a brand new horse property designed with the horses best interests in mind. Such areas of specific note are the quality brand new post and wire fencing with electric top and middle wires, large grassy pasture improved paddocks with plenty of natural shelter, separate feed yards in each paddock to ensure your horse received what he is supposed to and relaxed, stress free environment.
New facilities for both horse and owner including arena/round yard, day yards, wash bay, BBQ area, show jumps and the list goes on. In the near future a cross country fence layout will be available.
Hamlets Creek offers hassle free agistment that will allow you to feel confident to let your horse be cared for by us on a daily basis. For example; worming will be administered every eight weeks by staff and the cost of the wormer added to the agistment bill, this allows you one less thing to worry about and ensures that every horse on the property is worm free and the paddocks can be maintained to a high standard. We organize a regular farrier to care for your horses feet and will contact you when he is due and if you would like him to attend to your horse. We also keep a record and ensure that your horse is kept up to date with vaccinations, dentistry etc.
Equine Myofunctional Therapy
Finella is a qualified equine massage therapist who trained with the National College of Tradition Medicine.
Massage therapy is one of the oldest forms of therapy and has been used by people from the ancient times to the present. Performance horses, like human athletes, work very hard to reach top results and such emphasis to try and reach the maximum potential can result in injury, pain and prematurely worn out animals. Over time it has become apparent that strong drugs as a solution can have a negative result or side effect and problems continue to surface as the real problem, and its cause, are not dealt with. It is surprising that massage therapy has not been used more systematically with animals, especially since so many of their physiological problems are similar to those of humans and are already treated with similar drugs and therapies.
Sports massage therapy can play a very important role in prevention therapy as well as helping recovery from injury. Massage therapy helps us to trigger the body`s ability to help itself back to health.
Massage therapy is the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body in order to achieve specific goals of drainage, relaxation, or stimulation, and of releasing muscle related problems such as trigger points and stress points. It contributes to the overall economy of the body and its ability to function efficiently.
Massage can also help prevent and relieve stress from your horse. Techniques, when administered safely, effect the whole body by regulating the circulatory, muscular and nervous systems and their interdependent functionings. This will help with strength and flexibility, help dispel toxins and increase oxygenation, for a better metabolism, leading to enhanced performance and shorter recuperation time. Over time it can also help soften sharp character traits.

Costs start at $50 per session for horses agisted on the property
$65 per session for all other horses

Training, Starting and Exercising
For those of you who have difficulty in finding the time to keep your horse fit and schooled during the week due to busy schedules and travel times, Hamlets Creek offers an excerising and training service.
A starting program is also available. Finella uses natural horsemanship techniques gathered over the years from experience and different ideas designed around each individual horse. Generally a four week program in which your horse is started with the saddle, bridle and rider, including basic education, leg aids..etc, experience of the arena environment, trail rides, floating and handling..etc. I believe it is important that the owner is involved in this process as much as possible as there is no point in me getting the horse going if the owner does not understand what I am doing and why and is unable to continue where I have left off. The aim is also to give the horse an all round start not just taught to `woah` and `go` but to be exposed to as much as possible without overload. A months program allows the horse not be rushed through such a vulnerable time so that there is no fear and confusion. This of course depends on the individual horse and it can be quicker or slower, again allowing the horse to progress at its own rate and to reach a level where you, the owner, feel confident to continue.
Again any program can be discussed and arranged to suit, any information required about the techniques used..etc.
A four week program is $600, not including agistment costs.
Holiday with your horse
When you holiday to the Central Coast or Lake Macquarie region of New South Wales, why leave your horse behind? Hamlets Creek offers short stay agistment that enables you to bring your horse on holiday with you, keep your horse well looked after on our property and then to enjoy the quality facilities available on the property and riding in the Watagans. Prices for your horses` stay start at $75/week and further details will be supplied on request.
Also overnight accomadation for your horse when traveling long distances for competition or moving, break up the journey for your horse.
