Dixie is CHAMPION twice at CHAPS National Champs 2010
Dixie had a terrific result at CHAPS National Champs held in Lincolnshire. She was put forward for the Youngstock Evaluations where she gained top award of a First Premium. Her comments from the grading judges were: `Exceptional Overall Quality, Extravagant Straight and True Movement`. Dixie went on to he evening gala performance into a championship with plaited and non plaited horses and won it! Wow, what a feeling! The quality of the horses at CHAPS is very impressive, and the competition gets tougher each year. What was special about this Championship was that she is a traditional and a filly. It is very hard to beat plaited horses when you are a hairy!
On Saturday Dixie contested the Native, Cob and Traditional Yearling Final - this again was a very well supported class with some lovely yearlings in it. She won this class and was crowned Champion here and then went on again to another evening gala performance, where she was given Reserve Champion Overall Yearling of the Year. A truly terrific result for our Dixie Chick! She was so tired after the two days we didn`t bother to show her on the Sunday. This result by Dixie was really momentous, as we have had such an awful year with things not going well.
Maggie finished off an exceptional year by finishing 2nd in the Novice which was a huge class with 22 very good horses in it. She was 6th in her HOYS qualifier and was 8th in the Restricted Final. CHAPS National Championships are very tough, and we were thrilled with her results and she was impeccably behaved as well.
