Galant De Semilly (Quidam De Revel x Double Espoir, 1994, Stallion)

Galant de Semilly has celebrated numerous victories in the world`s major tournament arenas. Initially traveling internationally in Italy with Antonio Vitali and Andreas Herholdt for a few years, Galant de Semilly switched to Jos Lansink. With him he was fourth in the World Cup in New York 2006 and in the Grand Prix of Brussels 2005 and fifth in the Grand Prix of Munich (Riders Tour Finale) 2005. With the change to Stefan Abt, his career continued unabated: Two third places in the Grand Prix of Visbeek (Belgium) and Donaueschingen are the absolute highlights of this couple`s great success story.

From 2011 to 2013 Galant de Semilly was victorious with Philipp Brodhecker in jumper classes up to M**-level. Galant de Semilly has meanwhile been accepted into the Hanoverian jumping horse breeding programme.

As part of the Burghof Stallion Show 2014, Galant de Semilly S.F. retired from sport and has been enjoying his well-deserved retirement in the courtyard ever since.

His first three crops of foals were very promising. In 2015, for example, a type colt bred by Kurt Rettig (Breitwiesen) by Galant de Semilly from a Gluckspilz dam was the winning foal at the Burghof stallion show.

At the 2015 Elite Auction in Verden, the colt `Gentleman` by Galant de Semilly out of a Raphael dam, bred by Adolf Brunkhorst (Selsingen), was the top-priced jumping foal. It went to its new owner in Denmark for 16,000 euros.

In 2015 the first Galant offspring were successful under saddle. The 2010-born mare Glorietta H (breeder Johann Heinz) won an A**-level show jumping ability test and the 2011-born stallion Gambrinus (breeder Lux Horses) was placed several times in A*-level show jumping ability tests.

Galant de Semilly comes from France and comes from Quidam de Revel, who has held a top position in the ranking of the world`s best show jumping sires for years. He was an Olympic bronze medallist for his home country France and then continued his career under the Dane Thomas Velin with numerous victories, including the Hanover Grand Prix. The dam`s sire, Double Espoir, is also one of the most prominent show jumper makers in French performance breeding and is in line with the sire of the century, Ibrahim. Nankin in the third generation has also established itself internationally. He produced the sons Horencio and Nordenstern for German breeding and was the dam`s sire to the sires Quiriel J and San Fernando.

From the same dam line, Le tot de Semilly and his son Diamant de Semilly produced two internationally successful show jumping stallions. Among other things, Diamant de Semilly won team gold at the 2002 World Cup and team silver at the 2003 European Championships.
