Winter Sprite, a bay roan, was sired by Legend`s True Grit and her dam is a blue roan mare named Born To Be Blue. She and Cotton-Eyed Joe produced her first foal on March 16, 2002 and he`s everything expected of a superb Smoky Black stallion prospect. His name is Joe`s Stormy Knight and his photo can be seen on our Foal page. Stormy is for sale. Sprite was bred to a champagne stallion and her possible champagne foal is expected in April of 2003.

Dick and Christine Reed are home. Nine years ago the couple, pursuing a career opportunity for Dick, moved not just their household, but all of Toskhara Arabians — 22 horses — to England from Texas. Late last year they loaded an airplane with 31 horses and headed west, back to Texas. This time their high-flying equines included treasured broodmares representing the second and third generations of their program, homebred youngsters already tested on the racetracks of Poland, and their famous stallions..
Just why would one move an entire farm across the Atlantic and back again? “An opportunity with Frito Lay in the United Kingdom presented itself, and the challenge and experience were enticing,” explains Dick. “However, if I moved to the UK, Christine was moving to the UK. And if Christine was moving, so were the horses. .”
“We made many friends in England, but it was wonderful to bring Toskhara Arabians back to the U.S.,” Christine says contentedly. The couple purchased the 41-acre equestrian facility in Aubrey, Texas, now called the Diamond R Ranch.

JJ" has it all - flash, substance, confidence, willing disposition and gait. All of his siblings have matured to 15.2 plus! He`s ready to start a new life in a new home. JJ has tall stockings, the visible unique star and a small white marking on one side of his muzzle, lower lip and chin. He carries the creme dilution gene which makes the possibility of producing buckskins and palomino get likely. You can see his full brother on our Future Stallion Page in order to get a better idea of his potential size and conformation; or his full sister, Josie on our Mare page. Once he`s shed his foal coat, he will have a dark shimmering brown/black tone coat with golden highlights.
