Don Frederico
Don Frederico has been described as having incredible mental qualities and rideability, regularly impressing all dressage riders with his elegance, he has become a favourite in both the dressage arena and a stallion for use for dressage breeders.
In 1999 Don Frederico became champion of the Hanoverian Stallion Licensing, completing his stallion performance test as a runner up with an outstanding score of 151.67 points in the dressage section. He has outstanding gaits, scoring a 9.0 for his walk, 9.33 for his trot and a 9.33 for his canter. He also scored a 9.5 for rideability and 9`s for his disposition and willingness to perform.
The German Equestrian Federation had rated Don Frederico as the second most valuable sport horse breeding stallion in 2005, with a Breeding Value Index of 174 points and 89% chance of heritability. Having been bred from dressage legend Donnerhall, the stallion many believe re-shaped the dressage breeding world, he was always going to be good stock, afrer all, Donnerhall has 58 licensed sons and 63 State Premium Mares, Federal Championship winners, Stallion Performance test winners and his more successful sons are regularly top of the FN breeding values. Don Frederico’s offspring are naturally just as popular, and have been showing good form on the dressage stage, with Dantonisius and Dark Carlotta winning Champion and Reserve Champion for Four Year Old Riding Horses at the Bundeschampionat.
