Cottage Son xx

Cottage Son is one of the key stallions, who was at the begining of sport horse breeding. A thoroughbred stallion he was used to put more blood into the different breeding assocations across Europe, especially Holsteiner who`s horses at the time were of a much heavier type. Cottage Son xx was bred for the race track but broke down in his first and only race in the UK. He stood in England and had fathered some successful event horses including British olympic horse Cottage Romance as well advanced eventer Dapper who was placed at Badminton horse trial.

Cottage Son was imported to Germany from the UK and spent four seasons at stud in Schleswig-Holstein before having an accident that tragically cut short his breeding career. Even in these short years at syud in Germany Cottage Son made his mark in producing showjumpers, dressage horses as well and 14 approved stallions, cottage son is also the father of the broodmares that produced the great breeding stallions Ramiro Z and Lord.
