Coriander
Coriander was a Holstein stallion who was very successful in the dressage arena by Hans-Peter Mohr as a young horse and then Wolfgang Schade later in his career. Coriander was born in 1982 in Germany, sired by Coriolan out of the Constant mare Primadonna. Coriander produced five licensed sons, 11 state premium mare and three verband premium mares.
Coriander competed in dressage at Grand Prix level. He is a top progenitor of dressage and jumping horses in Germany and was the leading sire in his age group for all of Germany three years running. In his stallion performance test Coriander showed exceptional talent as a jumper but it was apparent that he was even more suited for dressage. He was trained first by H. Peter Mohr, then went on to show under Wolfgang Schade for the Holsteiner Verband, through International Grand Prix.
His pedigree speaks highly of the successes of this stallion. Sire Coriolan is from the first foal crop of Calypso II. Coriander himself is from the first foal crop of Coriolan.
Coriander has produced many States Premium mares and 7 approved stallion sons, including Cappucino & Carlino (purchased by Margit Ott-Crepin). Coriander is known for producing very ridable horses with exceptional movement and his progeny have won advanced dressage & showjumping competitions. Coriander is at the very top in the FN breeding value rating.
