Contendro I is a stallion of exceptional quality, in 1999 he was Holstein premium stallion and won the Adelheidsdorf stallion performance test in 2000, the following year Contendro I was placed in the Holstein riding horse championships.
Contendro I inherits his abilities from the Holstein performance line 104, as a son of one of the most successful holsteiner stallions Contender who is also sire of Montender, European championship gold medal winner. The mother line of Contendro I is Caretano Z who showed so much promise before his untimely death, even though Caretano Z died early his still achieved an impressive record in the competition arena and has also produced some outstanding progeny.
