Charisse Glenn
Born: July 4, 1957 Residence: Agoura Hills, CA :- Charisse Glenn began her endurance career in 1996. She was hired to train horses owned by Shiek Maktoum of the UAE. She took that opportunity and trained his horses for seven years. By 2003 she had developed her own client base. At that time her concentration focused on campaigning her own horses and her own clientele.
Glenn has ridden more than 3,900 miles in endurance rides and completed over 80 rides at various distances. Recently, Glenn has been competing her Arabian gelding, Bogart VF, with a lot of success. At the 2008 Git R Done competition in October, the pair won the CEI 2*. In 2009, they were third at the Shine and Shine Only competition held in California in the CEI 2* 120km division.
This year the pair were third in the 160km division at the Git R Done competition in January. Aside from horses, since 1986 she has had her own company, casting Television Commercials. She has also directed and produced a “How To” video called: “Becoming One with Your Horse”, for another trainer.
Glenn has had varied life experiences, having lived in both Southern and Northern California, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Maui, Hawaii, New York City and France. Currently she resides in California with her partner Carl Mergenthaler, their horses, dogs, cats and pet squirrel named Coco.
