Caretano Z

Bred by German sport horse breeder Manfred Birchler`s BB-stables Caretano Z was registered with the Holstein studbook. As a young horse Caretano Z was a tremendous talent which was spotted as an excellent talent for the future at an early age with excellent results in age classes as a 5 year old and 6 year old. As a 7 year old Caretano Z won the world young horse championships in Lanaken with Jos Lansink, this combination went on to further success winning internationally, his glittering sporting career was tragically cut short when he suffered a fatal loin rupture at the beginning of 2001.

Caretano Z`s memory is kept alive by the many outstanding progeny left by him Candlelight Z, Cartree Z, Chicago I Z (Stefan Corten) ,Carlaya Z (Judy-Ann Melchior), Cartoon Z (Stefan Corten), and Cracky Z. Carry Z (Judy-Ann Melchior) is ready to show that she can equal the quality of Ratina Z. In addition, the blood of Caretano Z is still available at Studfarm Zangersheide via his sons Cartoon Z and Chicago I Z.

Caretano Z is a horse who had the finest Holstein bloodlines, sire Caretino produced many proven progeny as well as Caretano Z other approved stallions of Caretino include Casino, Careful and and Hidden Creek`s Cheerful amongst many others. Caretino is a son of Caletto I who is also one of the leading breeding stallions in Europe.
