Candice King
Candice King is a leading showjumping rider with an excellent competition record that includes representing the USA at many major championships and international events. Below you can watch Candice King representing America in the 2010 Rotterdam Nations Cup with Skara Glen`s Davos
In 2000, she won the $50,000 Budweiser Grand Prix of Indianapolis with John E.M. and was also the runner-up in the $150,000 Grand Prix at the CSI-W Hampton Classic Horse Show in Bridgehampton, NY. The following year, she was the top placed American rider at the 2001 World Cup Final in Goteborg, Sweden, finishing fifth aboard John E.M. In July, she became the first American to win the Queen Elizabeth II Cup at the Royal International Horse Show at CSIO Hickstead in England since Mary Chapot’s 1968 victory.
Candice King got the 2003 season off to a strong start, winning the $25,000 Ariat WEF Challenge at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL, with her well-known partner, Caliskan, before claiming the Leeuwarden Grand Prix in the Netherlands with John E.M. The following year, her grand prix successes including winning winning the Six Bar Challenge at CSIO Rotterdam in The Netherlands and scoring her first grand prix victory with Camillo V, purchased two years earlier from Belgian Olympian, Ludo Philappaerts, in the $25,000 Adequan World Cup Grand Prix at the CSI-W Hampton Classic Horse Show.
Candice King represented the United States in the 2005 World Cup Final in Las Vegas riding Coco Cabana, and also enjoyed strong results throughout 2005 with Tarco, owned by JustWorld International supporters Joan and Ernie Kalman, and Camillo V.
Candice King makes her home in Wellington, Florida, with her husband, Brandon King, and their daughter, Alexandra.
