Army veteran overcomes being a triple amputee after serving in Afghanistan
Army veteran Alex suffered horrific injuries while serving in the USA army in Afghanistan, after stepping on a IED Alex lost three limbs and suffered serious brain injury. Below you can watch a video of his inspirational story as he uses horses to help on his recovery.
Three year after Alex`s life was changed forever, Alex discovered horses and began visiting the wonderful people at Sycamore Lane Therapeutic Riding Center, along with his Instructor Amy he has taken up the challenge of horse riding. When he began riding Alex could only ride for a few minutes, but as true hero he persevered and with a little help he now rides. Horse riding is a great therapeutic aid for healing and gives Alex lots of enjoyment while helping him grow in strength and use his bodies core muscles that he cant`t use while in his chair.
