Alwin Schockemohle
born 29th May 1937 Alwin Schockemohle is an international showjumper who represented Germany at many major tournaments including European Championships and Olympic games, he has two brothers and a sister, younger brother Paul Schockemohle was also a world renowned showjumper and now is leading breeder, dealer and trainer, his other younger brother Werner Schockemohle is also a successful sport horse breeder in Oldenburg.
in 1960 Alwin Schockemohle won a team gold medal at the Olympics, he would later win a bronze medal in 1968. in the 1976 he won individual gold as well as the team silver medal, these results as well as many other equestrian achievements led to Alwin being inducted into the German sports hall of fame in 2016.
