We had been wanting a young horse for a while and Toni bought this nice yearling at the 1996 ATBA sale and decided to share her with us. She is a out of a stakes placed mare who has produced 4 other stakes placed runners, two of which are full siblings to this filly. Her sire was only an average race horse but comes from a nice family. He is a half brother to 3 stakes winners (Northern Majesty, Share The Fantasy (G1), and Tokatee (G2)). He has only had 16 foals so far but has nice statistics with 80% winners and 1 stakes winner. His 2YO stats are also impressive with 71% winners/starters and 43% first time starter winners.
She was nominated to several of the fall AZ bred futurities and her first goal was to race in the trials for the $100,000 AZ Shoot Out in April. She accomplished that goal but unfortunately was no match for some of the other horses in her trial. She drew into a very tough field with the eventual Shoot Out winner and third place finisher. After a short freshening she went to Prescott Downs aiming for the Prescott Futurity. She was not successful there and came up with shin problems which required a lay-off.
She went back to the track in February at Turf Paradise and seemed much better than last year and has been training very well.
