This filly lost her mother at 24 hours old and has truly lived up to her name, which means courageous in Turkmen. She has not only survived a difficult start, but thrived, and is our happiest, most well-adjusted foal, she knows she is special and is proud of it. She schooled through Second level dressage as a young mare and has survived both EPM and laminitis in her life, she is unable to carry her own foals anymore, we will attempt advanced reproductive techniques on her in spring 2005 so that her very important genes are not lost to the genepool forever.

Dushka is a direct great-grandaughter of the line sire Gelishikli, her dam Dunja was one of only two daughters of the incomparable Dari, one of the best mares ever to reach the US from Russia.
