Monty Roberts welcomed two of Shadow Mountain Stable`s young thoroughbreds to be featured at March demonstration events at his Flag is Up Farm.
As part of the natural training program, our future black stallion, 2 year old Sir Knight Shadow, was ridden for the first time at Monty`s Ranch and training facility in Santa Ynez, California. This magnificent colt is by the grandson of Secretariat, Prince Stanley -- sire of many winning hunter/jumpers.
Also participating in a Join-Up® demonstration for a Monty Roberts` special event was Shadow Mountain Stables` three year old filly named Kiss Me Right. "Kiss" was orphaned at birth and raised by human hands until about 5 months old; and she has been seeking human companionship ever since then. She is very sharp and attentive. Learning at an accelerated rate, she is a natural jumper, quick, tall/leggy, and gorgeous.
The two horses were given additional training after the demonstration to transition from their natural horsemanship ground work at Shadow Mountain Stables to being completely safe under saddle when they return and ready to begin event training.
