2005 Bay filly, minimal white, measures 15.1hh, as a 2 year old. This filly is correct, beautiful stride & cadence, and should mature 15.3hh. She`s quick to learn, likes to please, good for farrier, vet, etc. "Dee" is a ˝ sibling to Mystik’s Highlight Shylo, who we trained & showed to a 4th in the 3year old HP mares at OKC in 2004, as well as a 5th place finish in the 3 year old WC the same year. Dee looks like she could go classic, but I expect her to be an outstanding hunter. She is very forward moving and could likely be an excellent dressage mount as well.

KSG Stables was founded in 1992, when we purchased our first 2 Morgans, a pair of Geldings. We rode & drove them, bought a couple of weanlings, and here we are now, with a herd of 15+. Never have quite figured out how those 2 geldings managed to turn into 15+ Morgans.
I grew up with horses, riding from my earliest memories. One horse that really played an important part in my life was “Buck.” He was a grulla part Morgan gelding - tough as nails, smart as a whip, and pretty to boot. Buck took me down many trails & helped me round up cattle on the farm. He also aided in my development as a rider, as he was very quick & responsive.
Keith was a town boy, but quickly became a good rider once we had a horse for him to ride. He rode KSG Mister Extraordinaire to many wins in both Hunter & Western Pleasure, while “Tuffy” was still a junior horse. They made a handsome pair, if I must say so myself. Keith works off the farm in the oilfield, but usually comes home to help at show time, doing whatever needs done; if there’s a horse for him to show, he is quite happy to get gussied up & have some fun.
Our original breeding goal was to produce a superior reining horse, but we have changed our focus to pleasure & show horses. We enjoyed success with our reiners, owning Drumlin Taffy, 2001 Reserve World Champion Open Reiner, and are now seeing success in our new program. We’ve had great show seasons for the past several years, and the future looks bright as well.
All horses are both CMHA & AMHA registered.
Our farm is located just 2 miles west of Hwy. #2, at the junction of Hwy. #53, near Ponoka, Alberta. We have a 65’ x 145’ covered arena, 13 indoor stalls, and 88 acres of Beautiful river valley for our Morgans to grow & mature on. Although we primarily Concentrate on training our own horses, we do offer limited boarding, depending on stall availability. (Season`s Forever French x Molly Darling) 3yo, golden chestnut, flaxen mane & tail, 14.2hh+, good bone. Has been to first performance show, went in 3 classes, got a 1st, a 2nd, and a 3rd. Also did first Dressage test, got 50%. Not bad for a 3yo, ridden by an amateur.
We also chute (sp) jumped her, and she has potential to burn, we went to 3` and she was going over like she`d been doing it for years, tucks right up, goes up & over like a deer. What are moonlight horseback rides?
Beginning at dusk (weather permitting). Follow a lighted trail path (same trail as day rides) through Devil`s Canyon. There is no double riding at night. Riders must be at least 10 years old. Moon light rides are available Monday thru Saturday (No Sundays) July 4 thru Labor Day.

Training is available at fairmount park, only 12 miles away, or on the farm. The farm has numerous turnouts, ¾-mile outdoor track with uphill training and starting gates and 1/8-mile indoor track, so no time is lost due to inclement weather. Breaking and lay-ups are available as well as pastures for broodmares. Racing is available almost all year round at tracks such as Arlington, Hawthorne, Sportsman’s, Hoosier, Ellis Park and Woodlands. All tracks are within an easy five hours shipping distance.
