Sweethearts Parade
1991 Chestnut Morgan Mare
Sweethearts Parade "Sweets" is an elegant, tall, 1991 chestnut mare who had a great show career in the USA before coming to our farm as a broodmare. She has produced several winning offspring who have won at the Regional & local levels. Her foals are all correct, tractable, like to please and easy to train. Please see "For sale" for further info.
Owner`s Stable is a Southern California based company whose sole purpose is to create thoroughbred horse racing partnerships. We realized long ago that there were not many opportunities to become involved in thoroughbred ownership unless you had a large amount of money.
So now, Owner`s Stable offers the thrill of horse ownership while keeping the individuals costs low. We do this by spreading the cost around by offering "shares" in our partnerships. The shares start at $380 which allow a wide range of people to become involved with this great sport. Where else can you own part of a sports franchise for only $380?
These are beautiful animals. Owner`s Stable lets you get close to all of the action including the saddling area, the walking ring, and best of all, THE WINNERS CIRCLE!!! Hear vital Trainer/Jockey strategy and bask in the glow of ownership while all eyes in the house are upon you with envy. If you would like any further info, or have any other question that you have regarding the site, please contact managing partner, Thomas Thompson.
1-21: She has resumed training at Santa Anita and will be ready for a race in early February. Below are three new pictures of Aclevershadeofjade going to a morning workout.

KSG Renaissance Time
2006 Chestnut Gelding
"Rennie" is a superb example of what we believe a Morgan should be - upheaded, pretty, laid back shoulder, and a "can do, look at me" attitude. He debuted as a 3 month old at the 2006 Alberta Morgan Horse show, placing well in both the Futurity & his weanling colt class. He should be 15hh plus at maturity, and with his parent`s work ethic, he will excel at whatever he does. Good for farrier, deworming, and other handling, this beautiful dark chestnut gelding is available for purchase.
ENHANCED STABILITY FOR YOUR HORSE
The Frelonic flooring system comprises multiple interlocking sections that hold together securely to prevent shifting-ensuring the integrity of your flooring system while allowing easy separation for cleaning.
Rubber interlock mats have the same basic drawback as all rubber mats have extreme weight. The Frelonic flooring system’s lightweight, yet durable material lets you separate and pick up each mat section with one hand-try that with a rubber mat.
SUB-SURFACE PREPARATION
FOR MAXIMUM EFFECTIVENESS SUB-SURFACE PREPARATION IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. FRELONIC MATS CAN BE PLACED OVER CONCRETE, WOOD, ASPHALT OR CRUSHED STONE. A CRUSH STONE BASE SHOULD COMPRISE OF 1/4" STONE IN SIZE AND BE APPROXIMATELY 3-6 INCHES DEEP. THE CRUSH STONE BASE SHOULD EXCLUDE ANY DIRT.
SURFACE MUST BE COMPACTED AND LEVELLED. ONCE COMPLETED, YOUR FRELONIC LIGHT WEIGHT INTERLOCKING MATS CAN BE IMMEDIATELY INSTALLED.
Extremely well bred gorgeous palomino! 85% NFQHA! Heavy muscled and excellent broodmare. She foaled 2-11-03 a gorgeous sorrel filly, and is safe in foal to Lenas Cherokee for a 2004 foal. Her 2003 filly is shown just below. **SOLD**
1) How does Owner’s Stable’s Managing Partner get compensated?
Answer: Owner’s Stable’s Managing Partner Thomas Thompson gets compensation only if your horse makes money. There are three ways that Owner’s Stable Managing Partner will make money. 1) When your horse runs and makes purse money, The Managing Partner will receive 10% of that total. 2) If your horse is sold for more than we purchased it for, The Managing Partner would receive 10% of the difference between the initial purchase price and the selling price. 3) If the horse becomes successful during it’s racing career, it will have some additional breeding value. At that time The Managing Partner would receive 10% of the breeding rights to the animal. As you can see, if you do not make money, The Managing Partner will not make any money. We operate in this fashion of good faith because we believe in our trainer’s talents and we have a strong desire to be forthright with our clients.
3) When will the horse be able to run?
Answer: After we acquire the horse, the best case scenario would be that the horse would run back in 3-4 weeks. To be patient and avoid the temptation to run a horse when he is not ready is one of the biggest keys to success in this sport and we feel that this is one of Doug O`Neill’s best traits.
6) How much contact will we have with the Trainer?
Answer: Although the trainer welcomes visitors and is very personable, any contact will be channeled through the Managing Partner. As you can imagine, the trainer has a very busy work day and if all the partners tried to have contact with him , this would create a logistic nightmare. We will have stable tours where you will be able to walk around his shed row and we also will have question and answer sessions at our quarterly meetings. All partners will be given an opportunity to express concerns to the trainer at these sessions.
Whether you want to learn about unusual sport horses, find a horse for sale to buy, meet with our trainers, or just see a rare black or white thoroughbred stallion, Shadow Mountain Stables welcomes you.
With quality lineage that include such notables as Secretariat, Native Dancer, Mr. Prospector, Northern Dancer, Bold Ruler, Princequillo and Seattle Slew, our young fillies and colts are currently in our natural training program, sometimes called horse whispering.
KSG Waltz After Midnight
2004 Black Gelding
"Wally" is a handsome black colt, no white, correct, should mature 15.0+hh. By the age of 3 months has already enjoyed a stellar show career.
Wally was the winner of the weanling class at the Alberta Morgan Horse Futurity in 2004, out of 15 entries shown. In addition, at the Alberta Morgan Horse show, he was pinned as Jr. Champion Stallion, and Reserve Champion Show stallion. The year was capped off when Wally won Canadian National Jr. In-Hand Horse, as well as Alberta Zone Jr. In-Hand hi point honors.
Wally returned to the show ring as a 2 year old, and ended the year as CMHA Reserve Hi-Point In Hand Jr. Horse award. Interestingly enough, on 2 occasions in 2006, he was Reserve Champion Morgan, second only to his sire, BeSt`s Mellow Tune. His sire ended the year as CMHA Champion Hi-Point In-Hand stallion.
Wally is quick to learn & loves to show (Futurity class lasted 45 minutes & his ears were still up). He`s good with the farrier, clipping, bathing, etc., and we think he`ll be an excellent addition to a show string. He`s started his saddle career, and won 2 seconds in Jr. Horse competition at his first show.
FOAL ORPHANED ON JUNE 23, 2007
Due to complications from an assisted birthing on June 18, AMHF Absolut Firebird (Abby) passed away on June 23, 2007. Thankfully, the beautiful chestnut filly she gave us, is doing well. One of our other mares, Parade Dance, has taken over Maternal duties, with the exception of nursing. They`ve bonded well, and "Mira" has her "CM" for food.
A tribute to Abby Follows below:
Abby acquired us when she was a long 3yo, as a western prospect, from a back pasture in Washington. She came to us slightly overbearing, not knowing her boundaries, and thinking she was the alpha human. In addition, no one told Abby she was a western horse.
She was initially trained for saddle here at our farm by Laura Malyk, and shown lightly as a 4yo., in the EP division.
Abby blossomed in 2003, when we sent her to Karen Abel at Dawnville Farms, originally with the intent to have her broke to drive. The first show was in May, she wasn`t quite ready to drive, but Karen asked if I wanted to show her in hand. Abby had indicated she didn`t want to show "In-Hand," but Karen & Abby clicked, and they were only defeated in 1 class in 2003. In 2003 she was named Grand Champion mare at BC Morgan, Westerner Spring Horse Show, Spring Classic & Alberta Morgan Horse shows, plus she was named CMHA National In-Hand Mare Champion. In addition, she won CMHA zone Champion in In-Hand Mares, Pleasure Driving & Park/Roadster divisions. She was also shown to Top 10 at OKC in Jr. Ex. Park Saddle by Ashley Comeau.
She`s had 2 previous foals, a 2yo gelding named KSG Absolute Temptation, by Ensbrook Tempest, who`s just starting his driving training, and a lovely yearling filly by BeSt`s Mellow Tune, named KSG Pure Cadence. Both are bays.
Abby always kept us guessing as to her due date, `cause she was a bit of a "hussy," and could easily be talked into something by a handsome man, even if she`d already caught, it seemed. I think she was usually 3 weeks early, and this year appeared to be no exception.
On June 15, Friday, I noticed that she`d been doing quite a bit of pawing; she usually only pawed if she thought someone else was getting growlies when it was really her turn. Sunday PM I commented to Keith that she`d pawed one end of the stall clear of bedding, and that we`d have to add some. Pretty much as soon as we did, she laid down, and appeared to go into labour.
But she didn`t proceed, and after about 1/2 hour, I called the Vet. To make a long story short, we had to pull the foal, although not hard, nonetheless, a pull. "Uterine inertia" was the diagnosis, but both seemed fine. Baby nursed, and Abby cleaned. An elegant chestnut filly; birth was about 12:45 AM, June 18th. We left them be, baby was nursing fine. I noticed that Abby was up & down a lot, but was eating. Tues. AM she had a temp, and discharge, not pussey, just fluid. I called to get her flushed, no gunky pieces, just a bit of blood. She had been on Excenol since giving birth, due to pull. Tuesday PM I called the Vet back, she was up & down, appeared to be still laboring, HR was 120. Put on fluids, more Banamine, and an additional antibiotic. Tested for Peritonitis, as feared a small fear in the uterus, but was okay. Temp came down, she ate, pooped & peed, appeared better. Wed. was up & down, temp normal, another flush & more Banamine. Not really excited about feeding baby, but tolerated it. Thurs. AM HR was still way up, I asked where else we could go, and off we went to new Clinic at Red Deer; Critical care & surgeon on staff. Had to wean baby, started every 3 hour feedings.
When we arrived, Vet said she was in shock, close to death, but was able to stabilize her, made night, heart rate came down to 90 - 100. On Friday, HR came down to about 80, which is still way high, but better. Started to nibble at food, rested comfortably, still no peritonitis, temp brought down, appeared guardedly optimistic for recovery. Didn`t go down Friday, working to get baby feeding well; I was planning to go down Sat. AM, but received call that she hadn`t survived Friday night.
I received info from Colleen McNichol about "Igloo mama," what a blessing that was. Couldn`t find "Igloo" but found "Coleman," so "Mira" now has "Coleman mama." Had Mira tested for colostrum, thankfully she got lots, so that`s a blessing too. She`s feisty, and thinks she`s quite special, just like Abby. We have "CM" hung in a 5 gallon pail, which works well.
I think all breeders should find themselves an "igloo" or "coleman" to put on their shelves for such an emergency. They were hard to find, as the "new & improved" models don`t have the removable spigot which allows the plumbing for the nipple to be installed, as they`ve now got a completely molded shell. They`re likely to get harder to find as time goes on.
This is our first loss of a mare as breeders, so we`re very thankful for that, as well as the lovely filly we now have. We`re going to do everything possible to make sure she survives; she`d been through quite a bit by 1 week of age, but is doing fine.
We will miss Abby`s pretty face and princessy ways, but are thankful for the offspring we have.
AMHF Absolut Firebird (Chandel Absolut x Cedar Creek Giselle) May 27, 1998 - June 23, 2007.
Fly to the lake ran on the 4th at Santa Anita and checked in a dull 8th. he will be given a few weeks off before resurfacing again later in the meet at Santa Anita..
Owner`s Stable Race Record: 8 3-1-1 $76,880
2) When will we buy the horse?
Answer: After all the money is collected, our trainer Doug O`Neill will start looking in claiming races and for private purchase opportunities. This process can take a number of weeks because we will be very diligent with our search as to find the best possible animal.
5) If our horse makes money, when will I see any dividends?
Answer: When a partnership horse makes any purse money, the partners can expect to receive their earnings usually within 7-10 business days after the race has been approved by the California Horse Racing Board.

Christophe Clement
We`ve included this bio on Christophe Clement as his work speaks for itself - first rate, and first class! Emerald Racing Stable does not currently utilize Christophe Clement but his information appears here with his full permission. Mr. Clement was born on November 1, 1965, in Paris, France.
He currently resides in Garden City, New York, with his wife Valerie, his daughter Charlotte, and his son Miguel.
Mr. Clement`s brother Nicholas is a trainer.
Racing Background
Cristophe Clement was introduced to the racetrack as the son of the late trainer Miguel Clement.
He worked horses for the Alec Head family for a year and a half before heading to the United States for 18 months to work for trainer Claude R. "Shug" McGaughey. Clement later returned to Europe, where he worked for four years for Luca Cumani. He came back to the States in 1991 and won with Spectaculaire, the first horse he saddled as a trainer.
Mariensky won the Sheepshead Bay Handicap and the Just A Game Breeders` Cup — in an eight-day span — at Belmont Park in 2003.

KSG Absolute Temptation
2005 Bay Morgan Colt
"Tempe" is a fetching gelding, exactly what was expected from this cross. As a first foal, he`s likely going to mature about 14.2hh. He thinks he`s pretty special, and as he matures should be a driving or classic horse. I`ve been working him on the ground, starting long lining. He`s a quick learner, and once he understands what you want, likes to please. I think he`ll drive, as the crupper, ropes around his legs, etc., don`t faze him one little bit. He likes to be loved, and I think a junior exhibitor or an amateur could find their best friend with Temp. An early start will give you a jump on the competition with this handsome bay. Reasonably priced, transportation can be arranged.

"White Shadow"
AS SEEN ON TV! A magnificent snow white colt by Airdrie Apache. What a dazzler!! Born June 4 he is just beautiful. He has already been featured on the front page of the newspaper and on the KTLA Morning News. Out of C R Fancy Dancer, the double registered TB/Paint great granddaughter of BOLD RULER, NIJINSKY, and KHALED, this new colt has the most gentle and inquisitive personality. KTLA 038.jpg (270072 bytes)At just a week old he was already putting his head in the halter. He is eager to learn, he will be both a great competitive prospect (with his great conformation and reaching stride) and a terrific white stallion prospect.
WHITE thoroughbred in your barn...let us know of your interest now. This colt is priceless, but we`ll let him go to the right home.
Sir Knight Shadow was just 8 months old when he arrived in October 2002, but we expect him to be one of the premier producers of Thoroughbred Paints in the world. He will be a rare BLACK stallion. But, "Shadow" is truly unique as, in addition to being sired bystanley.jpg (15512 bytes) Prince Stanley (pictured* on the right), grandson of Secretariat, Shadow also has white bloodlines on his mother`s side. While he gets his stunning good looks from his sire, Shadow`s dam, Kentucky bred Holy Moly Molly, is the great granddaughter of Mr. Prospector and the granddaughter of Not Quite White (one of the original nine white thoroughbreds of the modern era.) Shadow also boasts bloodlines back to Nearco and Bold Ruler and comes from the sport horse coveted Princequillo line. With extraordinary conformation, Sir Knight Shadow has a gentle temperament and winning disposition. When naturally saddle broke at Monty Roberts` Flag is Up Farm, he had a rider on his back in his second hour of training in March 2004.

Spectacular World Class Double-Registered Thoroughbred Paints For Sale
WHITE thoroughbreds. The legendary Black Stallion. Paint colors on a pure thoroughbred. Impossible to own? Not any more. Shadow Mountain Stables is one of the few thoroughbred farms in the world concentrating its breeding program on thoroughbreds in rare colors with outstanding bloodlines.
Arctic White became the ONLY Jockey Club registered WHITE thoroughbred stallion standing in the North American Continent when he turned 4 years old in 2003. It now appears that; for the first time ever on the American continent, a stallion will throw 100% white foals with virtually any mare! His first crop is now arriving. Click to see his first WHITE foals.
IMAGINE, no longer is a white thoroughbred going to be a "fluke of nature" or roll of the genetic dice. Arctic White appears to be able to produce a white foal every time without dilute genes or inbreeding. And, no worries about frame overo lethal white syndrome.
At 16.1 hh and 1300 pounds, he had already come to the attention of prestigious equine publications such as Thoroughbred Times, the Paint Horse Journal, and Blood Horse. Arctic White (pictured* above right.) is magnificent to behold and has outstanding bloodlines.
He is now standing at Shadow Mountain Stables to mares for live cover or A.I. (for non-thoroughbreds.) For information on breeding to Arctic White, email Jan or call 909-741-5665.
Also visit our News page to see pictures of the KTLA live broadcast at Shadow Mountain Stables or the Horses of a Different Color page for more information on white and paint thoroughbreds.
HORSES OF A DIFFERENT COLOR
We aren`t in Kansas any more! Thoroughbreds of the Future will look like this:
The first registered white thoroughbred of the modern era, a filly named White Beauty, was born at Patchen Wilkes Farm in 1963 and gained national attention for her striking hue. She became one of five white thoroughbreds to race competitively. Precious Beauty followed in 1981 and foaled Patchen Beauty in 1995. This white filly was sired by Hatchet Man, and raced from 1997 to 2000. Although the White Beauty line has had a number of white horses, there is another line even more prolific for creating these unusual equines.
Not Quite White (pictured right as a weanling) is the mother of Airdrie Apache from Painted Desert Farm in Redmond Oregon. DoubleNotQuiteWhitebaby.jpg (12295 bytes) registered with both the Jockey Club and APHA, he has renowned Kentucky bloodlines. His grandfather was the successful race horse and number one stallion, Mr. Prospector. Airdrie Apache has sired 14 white thoroughbreds since 1999. Painted Desert Farms has proven that producing white foals is not a fluke of nature, but a reproducible genetic prediction. The oldest of these 14 white foals was is a colt named Arctic White (pictured below left.)
What is so special about Arctic White? He is the only jockey club registeredarctic white.jpg (22219 bytes) white thoroughbred stallion in the nation today! At 4 years old, he made his debut as the first white TB to stand at stud on the west coast ever! This year he is being bred to several of Shadow Mountain Stables` hand selected mares. The Jockey Club* defines a "stallion" as a male horse that is used for breeding. The ultimate expression of the pure white horse, Arctic White is expected to throw nearly 100% color. There have only been a handful of JC registered white thoroughbred stallions in the history of the world. There was a white TB in France in the 1970`s that sired 13 foals . . . all white! Arctic White is also registered with the American Paint Horse Association and should add a lot of white color to many other breeds.
Arctic White’s dam is a Shadow Mountain Stables mare, Tropicana Anna, who this year has produced another white and chestnut colt--a full brother to Arctic White, named Air to Apache. He will be double registered with the APHA and is expected to continue in Airdrie Apache`s footsteps in producing white and colorful thoroughbreds in the years to come.
There are seven basic genes that determine the color of a horse. All non-white horses carry a recessive white gene, but it very rarely becomes dominant. There are two basic "white" genes: Overo and Sabino. These genes typically cause Paint markings in different ways. The Overo gene usually produces the horizontal wide white patches (traditional paint pinto markings) and the Sabino creates more of a "lace blanket" (vertical tapestry.)
Shadow Mountain Stables has searched the nation and beyond for the exquisite tapestry markings characterized by the lace blanket of the sabino gene. Airdrie Apache is the only TB stallion in the nation who has consistently produced these colored foals. Although the traditional "Paint" look had been quite popular in the quarter horse, the lace blanket clearly separates majestic thoroughbreds of color from the sharp delineated horizontal spots of overos.
Overo white horses are susceptible to Overo Lethal White Syndrome (OLWS), a condition that occurs in newborn Overo foals and is always fatal. Also known as the "lethal white gene", OLWS can be emotionally injurious and often financially devastating for small breeders, according to Dr. Elizabeth Santschi who researches the defective gene at the University of Minnesota. She says, "Horses that carry this gene are most commonly overo white patterned horses (frame overos)..." Testing the breeding stock is the only way to prevent OLWS, since there is no treatment for it. For more information on the lethal white gene, check some of the links below.
Shadow Mountain Stables` white and color horses are bred for the sabino gene and are not therefore susceptible to Overo Lethal White Syndrome. Sabino white thoroughbreds do not have blue eyes and they do not sunburn. They are also not albinos (there is really no such thing as an albino horse.) Nor are they like grays. Gray horses (even the pure white Lippizans ) are born dark and slowly change to white over the years. Pure white thoroughbred horses are distinguished from other colors by their underlying pink skin. Horses bred to cremelos will produce dilute white foals.
As of 2003, the American Paint Horse Association reports only 40 thoroughbreds have ever been double registered with both the jockey club and APHA.
Color, according the APHA, is “natural Paint marking”, meaning a predominant hair coat color with at least one contrasting area of solid white hair of the required size with some underlying unpigmented skin present on the horse at the time of its birth. This solid white area must be in the prescribed zone. In the event the horse has a predominantly white hair coat, the term “natural Paint marking” shall mean at least one contrasting area of the required size of colored hair with some underlying pigmented skin present on the horse at the time of its birth. This colored area must be in the prescribed zone.
The “natural Paint marking” as described above must extend beyond the perimeter of a two-inch (2") diameter ring, and be in the prescribed zone.

WORTH A PRETTY PENNY
WORTH A PRETTY PENNY was the first foal to be born at Cebourn Farm. She is by HIGH DOLLAR JOE and her dam is our foundation mare, APACHE`S PUMPKIN. She produced her first foal in the summer of 2001, and is pictured here with him. She has become the pride of our 9-year-old granddaughter, Lindsey, who has learned to become quite the rider. Penny`s excellent gait and temperament have made her a very important equine here. Along with babysitting the grand kids, she is becoming one of Charlie`s favorite mounts at the field trials. Her son, Stormy, is for sale.

We are extrememly happy to have Chatter as part of our breeding program. We look forward to her many outstanding foals for us. She has been bred to REEDANN`S TOP GUN for an early may 2005 foal.
horse property for sale in southern california i think the only issue would be that he is tied up, for one, and for anther, there is no one keeping a close eye on him.
first, how is he supposed to roll if he’s tied up? rolling is good for horses, although def can be very dangerous if he’s tied up. he could also get a leg stuck in it. also, what if a pack of coyotes or some other animal comes by. he has bo escape.
which brings me to the second issue. if no one is watching, what if he colics(or gets sick in general)? he’ll probably die out there cuz no one will know.
i would talk to your neighbor, and possibly authorities if your neighbor can’t help. that horse deserves a stall were he doesn’t have to be tied up 24/7. and can be watched.

LEARN FROM THE PAST:
Finally, consider how you have used marketing and advertising dollars in the past, how your ads and marketing tools performed. Did that 1/4 page ad work? If not, why? Was it timing, creative, audience, an external factor? What about that direct mail campaign? Did you pre-qualify your mailing list? Did you follow up with a second, third or fourth piece? Try to identify what made your previous effort work, or what caused it to flop. Advertising and marketing response (and therefore, your ROI) is affected by many factors but you can look back and use the actual figures for each campaign to predict your future ROI more efficiently. That will lead to a higher and higher ROI.
FMBs Magnetic Medics
The Activo-Med Combi + System combines massage and pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF) in one rug. The Combi + System is a real innovation, not only does it combine the two therapies, but it also covers and treats the whole horse, from the tail to the top of the neck. It works in sequence so that it effectively supports venous blood flow and the lymphatic system, and it comes with 18 programmes, nine of which are preset to suit horses in everyday work. The other nine programmes can be set to varying frequencies, intensity and duration to suit the horse’s individual needs/conditions. Therapy Leg Wraps, Hoofpads and Laser and TENS equipment can be also run from the same control box. FMBS is proud to support Chris King Eventing and wish the team every continued success. Chris says, “We use the Combi System on all our horses and I have noticed a definite improvement in their overall well-being, both mentally and physically. It is especially useful after strenuous exercise to aid tired muscles and treat specific areas. At three day events the horses have come out on the last day feeling fit and well and I’m convinced this is due to using the system. The Secret Weapon lived in his Combi System during Blenheim week and look how it helped him”.

MOONLIGHT HORSEBACK RIDES
After a hot day in the sun at a waterpark come enjoy a moonlight ride through our entire riding trail. It`s new to this area and we`re sure you`ll enjoy the romantic atmosphere! Your memories of this adventure will last for years to come. The ride begins at dusk (weather permitting) and a lighted trail will be followed through Devil`s Canyon and back to OK Corral.
At Shadow Mountain Stables we have selected world class stallions and quality mares from all over the nation and beyond for our unique breeding program. From the world`s top racing and sport bloodlines, we are producing young horses of quality pedigree, talent, disposition, and remarkable good looks.
Thoroughbreds of color are quite rare. According to the American Paint Horse Association (APHA), as of 2003, there have been only 40 double registered Thoroughbred Paint horses in the entire history of the association. Color in equine terms is typically the splashing of white hairs and unpigmented skin on the body above the cannon, on the underside, or behind the face. See our Horses of a Different Color page for more details.
The Paint Thoroughbred is a horse which has splashes of white color beyond a patch of a few inches. The ultimate expression of color, then, is the pure white horse. The sabino white thoroughbred is not known to carry the Lethal White gene of Overos (see the Horses of a Different Color page for more information on OLWS.) Until recently the white thoroughbred horse was more of a romanticized creature found in Knights of the Round Table and fables of heroic deeds. Today, however, Shadow Mountain Stables is breeding show quality, APHA and Jockey Club registered white, black, and multi-colored horses that will create that same excitement and awe in the real world, well into the future.
There had only been 17 registered white thoroughbreds in the history of the Jockey Club, as of 2002. Shadow Mountain Stables` most productive mare, Tropicana Anna, has foaled two of these plus two spectacularly colored paint foals. Arctic White and Arcticanna, brother and sister, prove thoroughbreds in white can continue one to the other in a family line. Arctic White is one of just a few white thoroughbred stallions in the world! While still quite rare, breeding a show quality white thoroughbred is no longer a "fluke of nature" as some have suggested. Tropicana Anna boasts the winning bloodlines of Native Dancer. When bred to the double registered (JC/APHA) Kentucky stallion, Airdrie Apache (grandson of Mr. Prospector and out of Not Quite White), she consistently produces talented paint thoroughbred foals of striking color.
The black stallion is a rarity in thoroughbred horses, as well. It is unusual for a foal to be registered as black by the Jockey Club. Shadow Mountain Stables has two black registered two-year olds. Our black colt is Sir Knight Shadow (*pictured below), by Prince Stanley (*pictured on the left), grandson of Secretariat and sire of many champion hunter jumpers. Sir Knight Shadow is out Holy Moly Molly(*pictured below), a very unusual, striking and beautifully marked granddaughter of Mr. Prospector. What makes this black colt so special is that he also carries the sabino white gene from his dam (granddaughter of Not Quite White.) "Shadow" is currently in our Natural Horsemanship Training after spending time at Monty Robert`s Flag is Up Farm training program; and, when old enough to breed, will be standing at Shadow Mountain Stables in the Spring of 2006. With his quality lineage and colorful background, Sir Knight Shadow should produce magnificent colored foals ideal for the show ring. Our black filly, Resist Me Not, is the full sister to Richard Shrake`s famous Breyer model "Miss Resistance Free". Please check Our Horses page for more information.
All of our mares and stallions have been selected for pedigree, temperament, conformation, athletic ability and unusual colors. You`ll find excellent candidates for dressage, hunter, jumper, racing, sport horse, show, eventing or pleasure riding that will make heads turn. Shadow Mountain Stables is literally poised on the brink of a whole new generation of quality colored, rare, extraordinary, stunning black, white and Paint Thoroughbreds . . . we truly are Breeding Thoroughbreds of the Future.
Monty Roberts Join Up demonstration: As part of Shadow Mountain Stables natural horsemanship training, we send our premier thoroughbreds to Monty Roberts` Flag is Up Farms to participate in live demonstrations and training. Monty has been called the originator of natural horsemanship techniques and has written several books on the subject. More details on the News page or visit The Premier Training Experience page for information on natural horse training.
"Air to Apache"
SPECTACULAR~ Another colored colt from Tropicana Anna Air to Apache and Airdrie Apache (* pictured right.) We couldn`t have painted him with a brush to be any more beautiful. Born on May 5, 2003, he has very unusual "tapestry" markings--even more striking than Airdrie`s. This stallion prospect is expected to follow in his father`s footsteps as a producer of high quality thoroughbreds of color. He will be BIG, about 17hh and magnificent with outstanding shoulder and bone structure. This new colt is almost indescribable. A wide white blaze leading to a chestnut color that extends from the ears across the back to the tail. His underside is a combination of white and streaks of chestnut that blend together. This may be one of the most unusually colored colts ever born and will be double registered with both Air to Apache Right side.jpg (171300 bytes) the Jockey Club and the APHA. He is the full brother to Arctic White, the only JC registered white thoroughbred stallion standing in the nation! Another Thoroughbred of the Future, here now, at Shadow Mountain Stables. A rare opportunity to purchase a unique thoroughbred colt who could throw both white and colorful foals as a magnificent stallion.

Horse pasture management question?
I am moving my horses to my own property and am pretty clueless about pasture management. Do I need to remove waste from the pasture on a regular basis or will nature take care of that? I am sure this depends on the amount of space per horse…my estimate is each pasture is about 2 acres and there are no more than 2 horses per pasture. I know this is a personal preference depending on your horses physical state and the quality of the grass but I’d like to know if you supplement your horse with hay even though they are free to graze or is grass enough? Thanks!
We will be adding trailriding tips to help you spend less time stressing and more time having fun with your riding partner on your trailride. If you have learned a tip that may help others have a more pleasurable trailride, email us from the "Contact Us" page and we`ll post it on our new upcoming "Trailriding Tips" page.

"Resist Me Not"
Foaled January 21, 2002 very rare BLACK filly dubbed "Resist Me Not" sired by Prince Stanley, grandson of Secretariat, and out of One Sharp Gal who has bloodlines back to Bold Ruler. You won`t be able to resist this long-legged loveable lady who is light on her feet and built to move. She is a full sister to the famous "Miss Resistance Free", the Richard Shrake "perfect 10" filly and Breyer model. Resist Me Not is not only beautiful but also quite the little charmer. She raises her head, and turns towards you at a soft trot and will halt on word or hand request. This filly will stand well over 16hh and has the elegance and spirit of the legendary Black Stallion, just like her sire. Note the similarities in their stance above with her shown at only 8 months. She prefers people to the herd and watches and waits for her handler! She puts her down when you approach and will follow you anywhere. This is a very gentle intelligent championship quality thoroughbred in a rare onyx black color. You`ll fall in love with her at first sight. $15,000.
ARCTIC WHITE. There have been only a few registered white Thoroughbreds inarctic white.jpg (22219 bytes) the history of the Jockey Club. As of 2003 there is only one Jockey Club registered white stallion in the nation, or perhaps the world, Arctic White. But that`s only part of the story. Arctic White also qualified for full registration with the American Paint Horse Associations (APHA), making him the ideal match to produce high quality show and sport horses. Turning 5 years old now, he is not only unique in color but comes from an outstanding pedigree. With a nice easy smooth canter he is built for forward movement and his build is ideal for sport and show. In addition to spectacular color, he is expected to have foals that match his powerful physic. As a three year old he was put into race training and had exceptional workout times. The biggest surprise, though, is his gentle and easy going temperament. Arctic White (pictured* at right.) has the stature, attitude, and movement of a great show horse, but never had an opportunity before becoming a stallion. Now under natural horse training, the possibilities for the future are endless. With his first crop due in 2004 he will be standing at Shadow Mountain Stables to select mares of many breeds. His dam, Tropicana Anna, has foaled both a white colt and a white filly. You can see Tropicana Anna, Arctic White, and his newest full brother, 1 year-old Air to Apache, at Shadow Mountain Stables.
Shadow Mountain Stables Natural Horse Training Philosophy
Why do our colorful quality thoroughbreds have such sweet dispositions and gentle temperament? How are they able to be desensitized and ridden with what seems like such little effort? The answer is professional natural horsemanship trainers (sometimes called "horse whisperers.") This natural method of communicating with the horse rather than hurting him/her to make them comply, creates a willing partnership. All of our weanlings, yearlings, and two-year old horses for sale have been started on Natural Horse training.
At Shadow Mountain Stables we are committed and dedicated to Natural Horsemanship (NH). Where learning occurs as a result of using body language, sometimes referred to as "Equus," language (i.e. Horse Whispering) where you "speak" to the horse using what the horse already knows. We follow and respect the great trainers who pioneered this form of non violent technique, such as Monty Roberts, Frank Bell, Clay Harper (pictured right at Shadow Mountain Stables), Josh Lyons, Richard Shrake, Sylvia Scott, Pat Parelli, Clinton Anderson and more.
Professionally trained by top NH Trainers, we specialize in joining with young horses (from birth to two years) to where they are comfortable and easy to control beginning their first rides under saddle. NH creates a willing partnership between horse and rider. For more information on NH training see www.NaturalHorseTraining.com or The American Horse Trainers Group.

Ahmed Matar Ali Ghanim Al Marri - UAEOwner`s Stable is a Southern California based company whose sole purpose is to create thoroughbred horse racing partnerships.

Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum - UAEENHANCED STABILITY FOR YOUR HORSE
The Frelonic flooring system comprises multiple interlocking sections that hold together securely to prevent shifting-ensuring the integrity of your flooring system while allowing easy separation for cleaning.
Rubber interlock mats have the same basic drawback as all rubber mats have extreme weight. The Frelonic flooring system’s lightweight, yet durable material lets you separate and pick up each mat section with one hand-try that with a rubber mat.
Ahmed Ebrahim Abdulla Al Mannai
Ahmed Ebrahim Abdulla Al Mannai - BahrainSUB-SURFACE PREPARATION

Ahmed Mohd Al Jaber Al Marri
Ahmed Mohd Al Jaber Al Marri - UAE1) How does Owner’s Stable’s Managing Partner get compensated?
Ahmed Mohd Eisa Banihammad
Ahmed Mohd Eisa Banihammad - UAE3) When will the horse be able to run?
Answer: After we acquire the horse, the best case scenario would be that the horse would run back in 3-4 weeks. To be patient and avoid the temptation to run a horse when he is not ready is one of the biggest keys to success in this sport and we feel that this is one of Doug O`Neill’s best traits.
Ahmed Mohd Jasim Al Hammadi
Ahmed Mohd Jasim Al Hammadi - UAE6) How much contact will we have with the Trainer?
Answer: Although the trainer welcomes visitors and is very personable, any contact will be channeled through the Managing Partner. As you can imagine, the trainer has a very busy work day and if all the partners tried to have contact with him , this would create a logistic nightmare. We will have stable tours where you will be able to walk around his shed row and we also will have question and answer sessions at our quarterly meetings. All partners will be given an opportunity to express concerns to the trainer at these sessions.

Ahmed Ali Bin Harmash - UAEKSG Waltz After Midnight
Ahmed Alturki
Ahmed Alturki - Saudi ArabiaFOAL ORPHANED ON JUNE 23, 2007

Ahmed Ali Amer Omer Al Hadrami - UAEKSG Absolute Temptation

Ahmed Salem Al Hammadi - UAE"White Shadow"
Ahmed Tawfiq Fairooz Al Dhaheri
Ahmed Tawfiq Fairooz Al Dhaheri - UAESir Knight Shadow was just 8 months old when he arrived in October 2002, but we expect him to be one of the premier producers of Thoroughbred Paints in the world.

Ahmed Rashed Ali Ghareeb Al Abri - UAESpectacular World Class Double-Registered Thoroughbred Paints For Sale
Ahmed Suleiman M. Al Rashydeh
Ahmed Suleiman M. Al Rashydeh - JordanHORSES OF A DIFFERENT COLOR

Ahmed Salah - Algeriahorse property for sale in southern california i think the only issue would be that he is tied up, for one, and for anther, there is no one keeping a close eye on him.
first, how is he supposed to roll if he’s tied up? rolling is good for horses, although def can be very dangerous if he’s tied up. he could also get a leg stuck in it. also, what if a pack of coyotes or some other animal comes by. he has bo escape.
which brings me to the second issue. if no one is watching, what if he colics(or gets sick in general)? he’ll probably die out there cuz no one will know.
i would talk to your neighbor, and possibly authorities if your neighbor can’t help. that horse deserves a stall were he doesn’t have to be tied up 24/7. and can be watched.

Ahmed Rashid Al-Kaabi
Ahmed Rashid Al-Kaabi - QatarAt Shadow Mountain Stables we have selected world class stallions and quality mares from all over the nation and beyond for our unique breeding program.

Ahmed Salem Ali Bakhit Al Rashedi - UAE"Air to Apache"

Ahmed Yamouni - AlgeriaHorse pasture management question?
I am moving my horses to my own property and am pretty clueless about pasture management. Do I need to remove waste from the pasture on a regular basis or will nature take care of that? I am sure this depends on the amount of space per horse…my estimate is each pasture is about 2 acres and there are no more than 2 horses per pasture. I know this is a personal preference depending on your horses physical state and the quality of the grass but I’d like to know if you supplement your horse with hay even though they are free to graze or is grass enough? Thanks!

Ahmed Salim Abdul Aziz Al Kathiri
Ahmed Salim Abdul Aziz Al Kathiri - UAE"Resist Me Not"
Foaled January 21, 2002 very rare BLACK filly dubbed "Resist Me Not" sired by Prince Stanley, grandson of Secretariat, and out of One Sharp Gal who has bloodlines back to Bold Ruler. $15,000.
Ahmed Tariq Abdulla Al Mutawa
Ahmed Tariq Abdulla Al Mutawa - UAEARCTIC WHITE.
Ahmed Zeyad Daboul
Ahmed Zeyad Daboul - QatarShadow Mountain Stables Natural Horse Training Philosophy
