Marengo came to us about 4 years ago in need of a good home...we had no idea what spectacular foals she would produce for us and couldn`t have been more surprised by the coat pattern on her first foal Cinderella...we were just as thrilled at the birth of Neon Knight with his flashy black and white spots...Serengetti was her third foal for us and once again was graced with a dazzling pattern. This year Marengo is bred to Gibralter a 16.2 hand baroque style Friesian stallion from the Ponderosa Ranch in Prior Lake MN. Marengos` foal was due on June 9th so it is already a few days late for its arrival. I have been very excited to meet the new baby and can hardly stand the suspense. Since I started monitoring her a couple of weeks prior to her due date its been a month now of checking her periodically through out the day and night. One night I was so sure the baby was coming I camped outside all night so I wouldnt miss the initial imprinting of the foal. That was a week ago and I have since gone back to sleeping in the house and checking her in the evening and early morning. Today I noticed her milk was changing to cloudy so perhaps tonight will be the night...keep checking the site for pics of the foal, we will post them as soon as I can tear myself away from it long enough to get them to my web master : )
