"Sahara Fame"
(registration pending PtHA / IAHA
Foaled: May 20, 2002 - Chestnut & White Tobiano
Sire: Fame`s Risky Business PtHA / ASHA 105243
Dam: Leoina - Arabian Horse Reg. 0386929
Bloodlines sire: The Color of Fame, WC Skywatch, WC Wing Commander, WC Valley View Supreme, WC Superior Odds, Supreme Sultan.
Bloodlines dam: Aladdinn, Bask, Gwalion.
Sahara Fame is a beautiful pinto filly that will probably be at least 15 hds. (Her sire is over 17 hds.) She has a very fine head and neck. Both her confirmation and gait are well defined, giving her a great deal of potential for a show horse, pleasure horse or brood mare. She is broke to lead and trailer load. The best of both worlds in Arabian and Saddlebred breeding!
Horse portraits in oil painting or pastel style Bring your horse or pony into your home or recall a special event with a unique portrait. It`s often difficult to take a really good photo of your horse, but that`s no obstacle, as headcollars and bridles can be removed and the background replaced with something more appropriate. Group horse portraits can easily be achieved from separate photographs. You are welcome to ask for a no obligation quotation.
You can choose from a wide variety of sizes in an oil painting or pastel style, and your portrait can be either traditional or contemporary (which can be co-ordinated to your colour scheme) for a modern clip frame, or ready to print on stretched canvas.
Photographs
Photographing horses can be difficult. If you have a camera with a zoom lens it`s better to stand back and zoom in, that way your horse or pony is less likely to be tempted to walk towards you. If you can, have a helper who can make a noise to attract the horse`s attention, so that he looks alert. A photo taken from an angle, rather than directly from the front or side makes the best portrait.
Avoid taking photos on very bright days unless you can photograph your horse in a shady area. The sun casts dark shadows that obscure much of the detail in a photo. If you can get a photo without a headcollar so much the better, if not, provided I have enough photos to be able to see the shape of markings on his head, I can remove the headcollar in the final portrait. You can see more advice by clicking on Tips for Taking Photos.
If your portrait is to capture a memory of a special horse or pony you have lost, let me have as many photos as you can - I can often recover detail in old and faded photos.
