J Bar S Trail Riding Campground is adjacent to the Army Corps of Engineer’s Truman Lake recreation area. The campground is immediately adjacent to the Smith Bend Equestrian Trails which offers 26-30 miles of riding trails on Army Corps of Engineers land. These free riding trails meander along the south shore of the Osage Arm of Truman Lake. The area is home to deer, turkey, beaver, and many birds, including Blue Heron and the occasional Bald Eagle. The J Bar S Trail Riding Campground is convenient to many of the fishing and swimming areas found around Truman Lake.
